FAQ & Info

In cakes by itsy  our cakes are always fresh and made specially for each order. This means that in your hands come a fresh product made specifically for your activity or event. We recommend once delivered the cake not refrigerate,(FONDANT CAKES) as this would affect the conditions of the fondant, cake flavor and decoration. Any postponement of consumption is beyond the date of its activity (1.2 or 3 days) is likely to cause cross-contamination or damage by weather conditions (not reiterate the use of preservatives). In cakes by Itsy we are not responsible for it.

 

 

HOW CAN I MAKE MY ORDER? 

 

We take orders through our online form  in which we collect the information needed to serve you the best possible way. Generally, we require two weeks to organize the order of your special cake. For wedding cakes, we prefer to apply at least four weeks before your event. We recommend to place orders as soon as you know the date, to be more likely to offer availability, but if you have a last-minute request, please contact at our contact form and we will gladly look for the best solution for you.


 

 

For weddings or big orders will require a 50% of the total cost at least 2 weeks before delivery. we not start any order until receive your initial deposit. Please indicate your name in the description field of the deposit. If in any case, the request is made less than a week in advance, then you should proceed to pay the full cost.

 

The information needed to make the payment are sent by e-mail once the quotation has been approved

 

 

 

Servings

Are based on industry standard 1x2x4 inch pieces. you may view the cutting guide section to help in the decision for how much cake you need to order

 

 

DELIVERY

 

 

- Delivery is required on ALL wedding cakes or more than 2 tiered cakes

 - delivery and setup fee is based on distance. Fee covers assembling cake onsite and adding final touchups and/or repair work

 

 

For small cakes

 

 small cakes must be picked up at our location

 

 we are not responsible for damage to shaped cakes, two or more tiered cakes or transporting various 3D figures with one person (driver) or long distances.

Can we go to visit you? Our workshop where we make the cakes and decoration is very small so that we can not attend visits as it should. The date, time and place for wedding consultations are coordinated through our contact form. Our initial form of communication is by the contact form, we will gladly resolve any questions you have that are not in this FAQ page.

 

 

 

Equipment Rental 

A refundable deposit is required for the rental of all non-disposible cake equipment (pillars, separator plates, etc). The amount of deposit is determined by items used in your cake and is refunded upon the return of of said items in good condition within 5 business days from your event. This deposit is separate and does not apply to the cost of your cake.

 

 

Deposit & Contract 

A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the estimated price of your cake is required to hold your date and place you on the baking schedule. 

The balance plus any equipment rentals is due 2 weeks prior to your event along with your final decision on servings, cake flavors and design. If final payment is not received, then order is deemed cancelled by customer and no cake will be made.

 

 

 

 

Cancellation Policy  

If the order is cancelled by the Customer at any time up to and including the 20th day before the delivery date, any money paid, less the non-refundable deposit, will be refunded to Customer.

If an order is cancelled less than 20 days before the delivery date no refund will be made, no exceptions.
